Hello!
I've newly installed the file sys.Intalling newer version won't give
any other prbllems?(I mean is it stable?)
As I haven't stored any important I can install higher version.
I'm a computer engineering student in India. I want to keep backup
mgr(it should take up when the primary mgr.fails.)
And I want to handle concurrencyof file access. So right now I'm going
th' the code.DEsign documents will be helpful for understanding the
code.
Thanks in advance.
Mahesh.

Hi Mahesh,
We should keep this conversation on the mailing list.
The #1 reason why people see the behavior you are seeing is because they
have old versions of utilities on some nodes and new ones on others.
Has the PVFS volume been in place for some time? If not, why did you
choose to run 1.6.0? Are you responsible for the installation? Have you
checked to see if the binaries are actually the same on these different
nodes?
Do basic networking tests work ok?
Thanks,
Rob
