Daniel was having some problems getting to the list.

To answer your question, you should set up a tmpfs file system and use
that. Of course, if a node goes down, that data will be lost. You should
look at the 2.4.31 kernel documentation on tmpfs.

Rob

Subject: pvfs in memory

Hi Mr. Ross,

I've been trying to send e-mail to the pvfs mailing list, but for some
reason I am rejected even though I have subscribed. I sent an e-mail to
the list administrator but haven't gotten a response yet. Could you
please forward my question to the list or point me in the right
direction? I would really appreciate the help. My question is as
follows:

Hi all,

I've been experimenting with pvfs and want to know how to mount the
filesystem so it uses memory rather than disk. I'm running Linux kernel
version 2.4.21.

Thanks for your help,
Daniel Manesajian
