The dmesg lines look like generic "something wierd happened" messages,
so unfortunatly they don't tell us a whole lot about what happend.
When you say 'consistent', does that mean you have an application that
can trigger this bug?  Or do you mean that every N hours you end up
in this state?

Is this the latests SLES8 kernel?  I remember you guys once had a
problem that went away with an updated kernel, so you can't blame me
for hoping we can punt the ball back into SuSe's court again :>  

what version of pvfs and pvfs-kernel are you running?
