[PVFS-users] PVFS access hangs

First off, thanks Rob - I'm a lot further ahead than I was.
Unfortunately I've hit another roadblock - I can build and
install correctly on RedHat 9 now, but when I configure the machine and try
to access /mnt/pvfs (where I mounted the pvfs file system using the
/etc/pvfstab config file) - even doing a simple ls command - the terminal
window hangs. Ctrl-c won't interrupt it - I need to kill -9 it from another
terminal. It also seems to hang some kernel functions (some monitoring
programs seem to hang while this is going on).
I was looking through the archives, but didn't see anything in
the past six months or so that addressed it except for the January patches
and the RedHat patches that Rob pointed me to.
The machine in question is a Xeon 3GHz, with 512Mb RAM running
RedHat 9 (2.4.20-6 kernel).
The pvfsd log looks like this:
(pvfsd.c, 433): $Header: /projects/cvsroot/pvfs-kernel/pvfsd.c,v 1.41
2003/10/22 15:46:20 rbross Exp $(pvfsd.c, 434):
unable to receive ack from 0x100000a:22555 on 5 within timeout
error building simple job: Broken pipe
unable to receive ack from 0x100000a:22555 on 5 within timeout

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
- Brannen
