[PVFS-users] performance problem

We've been testing PVFS for performance comparitions but we've noticed
it was taking too long to a single client to write a 1gb file (up to 6
minutes). There was only one client writing a the file with dd, 1 mgr
and 2 iods (each daemon in a different machine, the client in another
machine).

All the machines are running debian stable and are connected by a fast-
ethernet switch. Tests with other network file systems in the same
enviroment have taken no more then 96 secconds to write the same 1gb
file.

Is there any known issue that can cause such a poor performance?
