[PVFS-users] version 1.6.2 slower than 1.60?

I've finally had the time to test... and I'm seeing that 1.6.1 is 
performing as poorly as 1.6.2.  Both are terrible drops relative to 1.6.0, 
with the crude dd test I've described at the start of this thread.
I'd really like to get something newer into OSCAR than 1.6.0, but with this 
performance problem, I'm inclined to leave it at 1.6.0 for the time 
being.  What should I try next?
