You can use the pvfs-ping tool to ensure that the servers are up and
running. If they are not, then you need to address that.
If they are, then your kernel somehow got in a bad state and you are
going to need to reboot the machine. One thing to look at is whether or
not you configured your kernel to use a user-space or kernel space
daemon. If you chose to use the userspace daemon, you will need to be
certain that you correctly started this daemon before mounting.
