I ran a test with a similar environment on NFS of running the command "wc -l" on a file (the same file on both file systems). I got the following speeds:- PVFS : 14m58.969s NFS : 2m23.911s So I'm seeing NFS running around 7 times quicker than PVFS. Is this the normal expected speed? Jon.
