<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" ><tr><td valign="top" style="font: inherit;">Hi, All<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Hi All,<br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; I'm new to parallel file systems. i would like to know:<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 1. Does normal posix calls to pvfs do stipe data across multiple nodes for parallel<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; access?<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ex: If a create a file using posix call on a pvfs ( having 3 i/o servers),<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; does the file is striped across 3 nodes?. How to make sure this?<br>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 2. If gridftp (striped) can be configured to perform MPI-IO on PVFS?<br><br>Thanks &amp; Regards,<br>Prasad</td></tr></table><br>
