[PVFS2-developers] epoll configure-time tests

Hi all,

I've added some configure-time tests to check for epoll functionality. 
Right now these tests are only run if --enable-epoll is specified. 
Assuming that the tests work on a variety of platforms, we would make 
checking for epoll functionality a default.

Anyway, it should always be safe now to try the --enable-epoll option. 
We know that this can help with performance, so I suggest giving it a try.
