Hi John,
. and .. are not stored on the server. They are dynamically
instantiated (faked) for both the kernel module and user-space ls
utilities.
Keep in mind that we don't keep track of ref counts accurately for
performance reasons.
One of the few places where pvfs diverges from a posix compliant FS.
