Announcing version 2.8.0 of PVFS

The PVFS project has a new major release, version 2.8.0. This release
includes a number of new features, improving performance for a variety
of different workloads and access patterns. It also includes bug fixes  
since
the previous release.  Details of changes and improvements can be found
