[PVFS2-users] metadata performance

I am trying to optimize a cluster for high performance IO 
and I was wondering if there is a ratio of metadata servers
to storage nodes that would help or hinder performance.
If I have a cluster of ten storage nodes, would it be best to have
one metadata server or four?  Or is there any relationship
to performance at all in the number of metadata servers in
a cluster?
