[PVFS2-users] PVFS2 and kernel 2.4.18?

Hello,

I've finally convinced my company that we need to run PVFS2 and am excited 
about trying it out.

We have some old RedHat 7.3 boxes running the 2.4.18 kernel and would like 
to run PVFS2 client software on them without upgrading the kernel.  Is this 
possible?

I know that officially the PVFS2 client software works for kernel 2.4.19+, 
but am hoping someone can tell me if it works with kernel 2.4.18.  If PVFS 
really required kernel 2.4.19, can anyone tell me what specific difference 
between the 2.4.18 and 2.4.19 kernels PVFS2 depends on?
