[PVFS2-users] questions about PVFS

I'm a student. Now I study about PVFS. Can you help me answering some questions?
 
- One of the goals of PVFS is the applications which were developed with the UNIX I/O API able to access PVFS files without recompiling. So, I want to ask that  - by how can PVFS do that and how do PVFS perform it?
 
- how is limition of a PVFS file size? What do this depend on?
 
- PVFS built on local file systems (ex: NFS) if there is anyone modify that local file system, is all of file system PVFS destroyed? How PVFS do to prevent this problem if it happen?
 
- I want to study carefully about PVFS's interfaces, specially PVFS native application programming interface-  but all document I had are briefly.... Can you help me?
