I installed PVFS2-1.0.1 on a small cluster, each nod runs red hat 7.1, the kernel is 2.4.2. One node(node3) acts as metadata server, other 4 nodes act as I/O servers. All the node's enviroment is the same.( Red hat 7.1, 2.4.2).
I installed pvfs2 on another node too( acts as client), which its' enviroment is red hat 9.0(2.4.20), I want to access the PVFS2 through this node. And I run ./pvfs2-ping -m /mnt/pvfs2, it's OK.
But when I configured the pvfs2 kernel interface, there are sth wrong.
The following is my configure steps.
./configure --with-kernel24=... OK
mkdir /mnt/pvfs2 OK
insmod /usr/src/..../pvfs2.o OK
strart pvfs2-client: pvfs2-client -f pvfs2-client-core OK
but when I perform the mount command, the error occurs.
[root at zjx zjx]# mount -t pvfs2 pvfs2 /mnt/pvfs2 -o tcp://node3:3334/pvfs2-fs
pvfs2:pvfs2_get_sb --wait timed out (ec0001). aborting attempt.
pvfs2_get_sb:mount request failed with 15466497
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on pvfs2,
or too many mounted file systems
[root at zjx zjx]#
Anyone can give me some suggestions?
After I configure the pvfs2 on one node, then I copy pvfs2-fs.conf and pvfs2-server.conf-XXX to all nodes, I am sure that all nodes have the same pvfs2-fs.conf. Then I run /pvfs2-ping -m /mnt/pvfs2 , the 6th step still appears errors.
Thanks for input.
