The shared library libpvfs.so is not in a path listed in /etc/ld.so.conf
nor is it in a path listed in your LD_LIBRARY_PATH.  You will need to
locate the library and put the path in one of those places.  If you
modify your /etc/ld.so.conf, you will need to run ldconfig afterwards.

Also, you should ask this question on the pvfs-users list - this is
pvfs2-users, for users of PVFS2.  pvfs-users is for users of PVFS 1.x
