Yes, i'm going to install PVFS2 on ppc64-based platform. I saw in an 
email, that you sent some time ago, that you attached a ppc64 patch, but 
is it applyable to the package (after untarring) available from 
ftp://ftp.parl.clemson.edu/pub/pvfs2/pvfs2-1.4.0.tar.gz ?
