Hi Joerg,
That was my bad..
I had fixed this, but forgot to commit it in CVS. I have commited a fix
for this.. Could you try again and let me know if it works?

Whoa! How did it cause a kernel panic without even inserting the module?
Beats me.. Are you sure that it is PVFS2 related?

Understandable.. CVS has gotten a lot of features, and bug fixes since
1.4.0, so it is probably a good idea to use CVS anyways..

PS: BTW, are u running 32 bit user-space? it would be gr8 if you can
confirm if 32 bit user-space works on your setup? (you can set CFLAGS and
LFLAGS to "-m32" to force 32 bit user-space)
