Hello,
I have a cluster of computers that I'm attempting to install pvfs. This
is a rocks 4.1 cluster, if that is familiar to the reader. The
pvfs2-genconfig program that I'm using to setup the pvfs config files
mixes metadata and i/o servers in a strange way when I configure it on
the head node.
The head node is called sax and the compute nodes are called sax000,
sax001, sax002 and so on. I want the metadata server to be sax and the
i/o servers to be sax00N. When the pvfs-fs.conf and pvfs-server.conf
files are created, sax000 and sax appear to be swapped in function in
the pvfs-fs.conf config file, e.g.
....
Alias sax tcp://sax000:3334
Alias sax000 tcp://sax:3334
....
I managed to repair these files, I had to repair all of the
pvfs-server.conf-$(hostname) files because the program shifted by one
the numbering of each host, e.g. pvfs-server.conf-sax002 has the
configuration for sax003.
I'm not sure if this bug has been reported, but if someone already has a
fix, please share it.
I'm using pvfs2-1.4.0.
thanks,
Jeff
