[Pvfs2-users] UID mapping, user-level authentication

Hi folks,

I am interested in using a PVFS2-based system in an environment where I need
both UID mapping (e.g. for heterogeneous system) and user-level
authentication (e.g. for trust per-user, not per-host).

Are either of these features either implemented or planned for PVFS2?

I may be interested in either adding this support into PVFS2 as an option,
or "wrapping" PVFS2 (similar to what SFS <http://www.fs.net/> does for
NFS), but I'd like to first get a feel for if there is interest in this
from the PVFS2 developers and/or community.
