It could be a problem with how you measured performance. Did you use
cp(1)? Try measuring performance with the pvfs2-cp utility: it uses a
larger block size and should give you a better initial value for
single-node performance.

I'll have to defer to Pete on this one. I think it supports real RDMA
over IB. If you want to run IP over IB, then I think you would just
use tcp.

I think you've done everything correctly. Tell us how you measured
the slow performance and we can either fix it or suggest other
approaches.
