[Pvfs2-users] PVFS2 and cromfs

Hi,
 Has any one had experience with using cromfs and pvfs2.
 While using mkcromfs to compress a dir on a pvfs2 mount I find
 performance deteriorates severely.  After killing mkcromfs I then
 notice that the system (openSUSE 10.2) runs like treacle.  top shows
 wait % around 50-70 for simple network tasks.  e.g.  just making an
 ssh connection takes 9 sec or can timeout.

 Appreciate any tips.
