no..i was hoping a stray pvfs2tab was confusing pvfs2-client-core.
glad we can rule that out.

Is there anything in dmesg that would suggest 32 bit vs. 64 bit
incompatibilities?  I didn't think fedora 8 is biarch but i could be
wrong.
