Hi Sumit,
I am getting confused to where to type the above make command.
As far as I understand the kernel source tree is under /usr/src/linux-2.6/
In my case: kernel source tree forms to be a circular symbolic links, as
shown below
######
#ls -l /usr/src/linux-2.6/
total 0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 41 Feb 27 09:38 2.6.9-42.0.2.EL-smp-i686 ->
/usr/src/kernels/2.6.9-42.0.2.EL-smp-i686
# ls -l /usr/src/kernels/2.6.9-42.0.2.EL-smp-i686
total 0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 41 Feb 27 09:38 2.6.9-42.0.2.EL-smp-i686 ->
/usr/src/kernels/2.6.9-42.0.2.EL-smp-i686
######
Hence I tried to execute the above mentioned make command in
/usr/src/pvfs2/src/kernel/linux-2.6/
=> make menuconfig, didn't work. :(
Just to make sure, I did the right thing : I ran the patch command
# patch -p0 < pathes/patchfile_pointed_by_robl
from /usr/src/pvfs2 directory, Hope this is right.
Thank you,
