Could you elaborate more on that please? Is the striping of pvfs faster
than local file I/O, or is there a mirroring capability? As far as I could
tell, the tuning document does not mention any mirroring option.
I have not been able to do performance testing yet with pvfs vs. local file
I/O. I first tried pvfs with MPICH2, and I was getting crashes when sending
data between nodes (regardless of whether I used pvfs or local files). Then
I tried openmpi, but I could not get that to work with pvfs. I ended up
just going with local files and openmpi so I could get the test running. I
had to put it on the back burner for a while, but I'm able to spend more
time on this now so I'd like to revisit using pvfs.
