[Pvfs2-users] "wierd" problem with pvfs2

Hi all:

I recently received this from one of my users:

The strange thing I had was that I generated a file on pvfs2, which
can be read by "ncdump" and it showed up if I used "ls" followed by
the file's name.  However, when I used general "ls" or "ls -a", the
file didn't show up in the list.   I was connecting to aeolus/pvfs2
through the EPA firewalls, and so not sure if that had anything to do
with it.

This is not the first time this has happened, and I'm not sure how to
address it other than restart a bunch of things.
