[Pvfs2-users] configure: error: The kernel source tree does not appear to be 2.6

[g_p g_p]

Hello and thanks for replying,
if i execute "make oldconfig",is that command going to configure the kernel using some old parameters from an old configuration file?
Cause i wouldn't like to make some changes that are going to affect others work.Cause a lot of people are working on the same machine.
Is that command harmless?

It looks like you are using a vanilla kernel that does not yet have all the .h files in place that OrangeFS needs. If that is the case, these commands should work. cd /lib/modules/`uname -r`/sourcemake oldconfig Then build OrangeFS using --with-linux=/lib/modules/`uname -r`/source -- Elaine From: g_p g_p [mailto:g_p_java at hotmail.com]
